Busy, busy, busy!

This week is shaping up to be extremely busy at work. That is fine. Makes the days fly by or so I can hope, right?

One of my co-workers just lost his grandmother. She has been very sick and has fought like a champ, but alas she lost her battle. At least she is at peace now.

I already had my own long to-do list, now I have some of his. I don't mind, this is not a complaint. Just giving an idea of what my week will look like.

Then I got two free tickets to the Astros game on Friday night. I haven't seen a game (live) in years! They were in the Astrodome then.... I have never been to Minute Maid Park. Now I just need to find someone to go with me. :)

I got a lot done this weekend though I still feel like I have a ton of cleaning left to do. I got a lot of the clutter cleaned and that was the really important part! Still a few "hot spots" to clean but overall, much better. I feel lighter! Good feeling!

I did a bit for myself this weekend; like I mentioned below, I got a pedicure. First one in at least 3 yrs. Long overdue and much deserved. It felt good. I also bought a few things for myself and just got several errands checked off. Visited family and relaxed!!!

I think I am ready for my busy week. I love my job (though ready for some new challenges) and at least it keeps me busy!

I'm back, YO!

I had a great weekend. At one point, I actually said, "I have nothing in my head." and that meant exactly that.... I often have a million things running through it: to-do lists, bills to pay, songs, kid voices and a hundred other things. So to walk away from it for just.... a few days, was AWESOME!

Not much to tell, we kinda took a Vegas type of vow of "What happens in.... stays in....." ya know? Of course not too much happened that we can't talk about but it is fun to think that we had really big secrets like that.

I did learn a lot about myself during the trip. I plan to write about those things soon, I hope.

And ya know friendship are so interesting to me. M and I haven't seen each other since April/May 2000 (time frame) and it was almost like we have never been apart.

Anyway, thanks to all the new readers and a special thanks to all those that have been with me for a while. I really appreciate you sticking with me through the feast and famine of my blog.

I'm leaving on a jet plane....

I am heading to Orlando on Friday for a girls only weekend! The organizer is probably my best friend in the world... or at least one of my top girls! I named K after her.... that is how much she means to me. We were in the Navy together and then got stationed at the same base for our first years. We partied together. We had our babies together and went through a lot of ups and downs. She sees me better than almost anyone.

Then there will be her SIL who I know. And then my friend's BFF from grade school. I feel like I know her and I can't wait to really meet her!

I only have one thing on my mind that is making me almost wish I wasn't going. I will miss Goofball very much. I am just crazy for that boy. We usually see each other 1-2x a week... usually Friday and/or Sunday (sometimes both days, sometimes only one).

I will miss our Friday for sure and not sure about seeing him on Sunday. I hope so!

But ya know, that isn't even all of it. I really wish that we could travel together but at this time in our life's we can't. Some of you know the story but some are coming here for the first time. I haven't shared it on my blog. Just due to privacy, I won't be.

The point is that sometimes I feel ... not guilty but... well like I just miss him more because I wish he was with me and enjoying things with me. That is pretty much it.

I do plan to have a great time. I have new clothes and I got some fun girls to hang with so it is all good.

In other news the kids' dad is coming in to stay with them. At first there was talk about his wife coming too and they would both be staying in my house. I was some what okay with this but like I wrote, my house is not always the cleanest place. Today he told me that just he is coming. Okay then, I am okay with that too and in fact I will feel less nervous about it.

Have a good weekend. I don't think I will write again until I get back...

What I did today!

I had the best time today. I went to Mama Drama Con Queso II. It rocked! I meet a lot of new people and a lot of folks that I knew. Many people I definitely want to get together with again.

I get really lonely for people to hang with which sounds so pathetic but hey isn't that why I am doing all this online stuff. Right?

So anyway this is a shout out to all those that attended! Leave me some love to let me know you were here.

See ya at the next one (or sooner!)

Another saturday night and.....

I'm an affectionate person. I like to touch, kiss, hug and I like to be touched, kissed and hugged.

My ex was not. He didn't hold my hand. The few times he did, I could tell he didn't want to. So it just felt wrong. He kissed me but only to initiate sex.... and then it was over as quick as it started. He didn't kiss me during. Just some kissing before and it was over. Now on this note, I have never had sex with someone that I didn't like to kiss so this was something that changed in him really quickly. We used to kiss a lot when we first started dating but.... it didn't last even the first year. Then on the hugging. He would let me hug him but rarely did he put his arms around me.

*sigh*

Oh well moment over.

So tonight I enjoyed all three and it was so nice. I think it makes the sex better too. I mean for me, not sure if it does for him.... (grin)

Anyway, another wonderful, amazing night with Goofball. He looked damn sexy tonight, more than usually.... Yum. I was having a really hard time tending to the food because really all I wanted to do was drag him to the floor or the bed or where ever. I had to have him.

Thanks for a fun night, Goofball. Glad you enjoyed dinner and dessert. It was fun to cook for you. I'm glad everything turned out okay... I wasn't too crazy about the chicken though it wasn't terrible. Next time something with beef. I like beef. I'm from Texas. :)

Anyway, I get the kiddos tomorrow at noon. Gotta drive up half way and pick them up. I'm enjoying my break but I will be glad to get them back. I'm having some weird mommy guilt over handing them over to a man that had just an hour before threatened my cats and then just before walking out half joked about not giving me the kids back. WTF?! So I will be anxious to get to the pick up location and then get my babies back where they belong.

Oh and I'm complaining a lot about money lately but mostly because Dec 25th is just around the corner. I don't really worry toooo much about money. A little but who doesn't? But, right now I'm feeling the pressure of the Big day. It will be fine though. I am just going to work a plan and stick to it. The kids really don't need much and I have already let the big kids know things will be a bit tighter than normal. So we shall see.

And that in a nutshell is my Saturday night. Of course I'm singing "Another Saturday night and I ain't got nobody, I got some money cuz I just got paid..." Love that song!

Wow

I just had one of the best nights. *grin* The perfect walk on the beach weather.

That is all. I just want to remember this night and putting it in my blog, I will at least know what night it was.

The long weekend and a sick day

I had a nice long weekend. I love my job because I get every other Friday off. This past Friday was my day off. So four day weekend. Whoohooo......

I spent it doing just what I wanted, sort of. Friday was great. Got to spend time with Goofball. Some much needed sex time that is. Gawd I needed that! That's all I will say.

Then napped. Nice deep sleep that one can only have after great sex. Then Friday night took the kids out for dinner. Had a big smile even when Logan was throwing a fit. He is still adjusting to all day without a nap. Takes after his mom.

Then Saturday, I have no idea what we did but before I knew it it was the afternoon and I had done nothing. It was actually kinda nice but also stressful because I had so much to do.

I went to visit my grandmother (mom's mom) who was staying at their house pet sitting while my parents were in Colorado visiting my baby brother and his family. They got some gooood pictures of the boys. Anyway, so visited my grandmother. Showed her the presentation I am working on for my parents' 35 anniversary. She liked it but we started talking about pictures she had. So I called my Aunt and I ended up over there. I got a huge bag full of pictures.

Then on Sunday, got up made breakfast for the kids. They loved it. Then I scanned pictures all day, and cropped, resized, rotated, etc all the pictures and worked on the presentation all day.

Goofball came by and we went out. I was kinda in a weird mood by then. I was looking through family pictures all day and it was weird because there were pictures of my cousin. He committed suicide when he was 15. I think I was around 17 years old at the time. Nobody really talks about him and it is makes me sad. But, Goofball is always fun to hang out with so I was snapped out of it and then I was focusing on not ripping all his clothes off.

Monday I got up and made another good breakfast for the kiddos. Two days in one weekend, they couldn't believe it. Worked some MORE on the presentation.... It takes a long time. My parents were back so we all went to lunch. Then I ended up back over at their house so I could steal the new pictures from Colorado. My nephews are soooo cute! I can't wait to see them again. I would love to get out to Colorado this year.

Anyway, then we just ran errands the rest of the day.

Sometime right before bed H started puking everywhere and I just had a bad feeling. He was up and down all night. Some time in the very early morning, I had a really bad feeling, but it was my stomach. Thankfully no puking for me, just feeling like I could. Sooooo I called in to work. My co-worker sounded annoyed but sorry, I will be no good running back and forth to the restroom for the false alarms. Plus I have zero energy.

So that is my weekend. Good and bad.... at least its a short week!

Nice Sunday Afternoon

So today was a really nice day. We had a pretty relaxing weekend in general, except for Saturday evening which involved a lot of running kids around.

Anyway, so Saturday night I was let in on a little secret. Goofball was going to visit us the next day. He told me in a way that made me smile and get that giddy feeling in my stomach. He was going to come hang out with me and my kids. Wow. It may seem like a little thing but its not. To me, well this is kinda big. I mean I really appreciate him coming all the way out here just to hang out with us.

It turned out to just be me and my boys. K had spent the night at a friend's house and the mom called to ask if they could all go to a movie. SURE! I'm glad she has a good friend to hang out with. Actually she is quite popular but whatever....

So Goofball, the boys and I played Phase 10. The little on got bored and went to watch a movie. The rest of us continued to play.... Until he won.

We then hung out a bit, fought the obvious sexual frustrations we were both having and then we said good-bye.

And so here I sit, smiling with appreciation that he would just come to hang out. Smiling because I enjoyed the afternoon with him and my boys. And smiling even more knowing at the end of the month (or sooner if I can find a way), we can deal with this mounting sexual frustrations. That should be a lot of fun.

Mama Drama Con Queso!

Mama Drama teamed up with Blog Con Queso to create this GREAT! Lunch today for area bloggers.

It rocked!

I am such a wallflower, introverted homebody that I'm just shocked at myself for saying "I'll be there." How easy would it have been to just not comment? Easy! How hard was it to go? HARD! But, ya know, I meet some really great people. I wouldn't have met these people otherwise.

Now you would think a bunch of people who pretty much just met would have nothing to talk about. I don't think there were any quiet moments the whole time.

There were some folks (Min!) that I didn't get to talk to much at all. I really wanted to sit down with her and chat but maybe soon we can get together. (give me a call sometime, we can chat!)

I have done stuff like this before so not sure why I was nervous. But, when you are meeting internet people.... well you just don't know. I have even gone to Chicago and Baltimore to meet people. Drove to Dallas recently same thing. But those are people I have "known" online for a long time. Love them! (You know who you are!!!) But, still you just don't know. Online dating, same dealio! It is hit or miss.

I really hope that we can do this often and that even more people come. And, maybe we can plan a little more time.

I have a blog to write about from the event. We were talking about guys and well this analogy was used to describe them. Who said it? Oh that would be me!

Anyway, Jenny, Laura, YOU ROCK! Thanks soooo much for putting this together and I'm really excited about future plans. Its just great, great, great!

Day one - No kids - Summer 2

So last summer, the kids were gone for only 3 weeks. They left on June 25 (K's bday) and went to the ex-In laws for the whole time. This summer we have a court order that says at least 42 days (last summer we agreed on 3 wks). They will actually be gone more like 2 mths.

Anyway. So I did fine. No crying but I didn't laugh either. I was just .... well.... normal! Okay sort of, I had a lump in the back of my throat like I might cry and that giddy feeling in my stomach that you get when you are excited.

Came home and cleaned house.

And, as I sit here typing this, I am suppose to be packing to go to New Orleans for work. But I am waiting on some laundry so I can finish... err, start.

Goofball came over for a short time tonight. It was great to see him, even if we only got a short time together. It was great because he kinda surprised me but a little embarrassing because I was just out of the shower and about to take out my garbage! Now that's attractive, right? lol!

Well I'm off for a few days but will update on my trip! I'm so excited. This is my first team meeting for work and while it may be a boring meeting, it sounds like parts of it will be fun!!! We are doing some kind of team building exercise in the French Quarter. We are guessing some kind of Scavenger hunt or something similar!

Back on Thursday!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Well even though I was a bit cranky and I felt like pure crap! oh and the kiddos were hyper little monkeys all weekend, it still turned out to be pretty darn good.

It rained off and on all weekend. I freakin' love the rain! But this has also lead to a lot of sexual frustration. Yeah, I really like the rain. Of course seeing Goofball twice didn't help that frustration and in fact, it left me quite unable to make any kind of decision. I already have a bit of a problem with being decisive. I tend to be fairly wishy-washy or just so laid back, but add to that a huge, big ole helping of sexual frustration, and yeah I was pretty much one-tracked minded last night. "What do you want to do?" "I don't know...." (Fuck?) Oh well. Did I mention I really like the rain?

But, it was great seeing him last night. We didn't really do much but hang out and we got to talk a lot which was fun. He doesn't know but he did get me quite turned on simply by being so sweet to my kiddos too. There is nothing sexier than a man that is good to kids (well and good to animals.)

Then he called me today and asked me to lunch.... "Umm, let me think about that.... HELL FUCKING YEAH!" Forget that I have to drive about 30-40 mins away and in the pouring ass rain.... I'm so there (no not complaining, I'm just saying I wouldn't say no). It was totally worth it. I really enjoy his company and even a few minutes would be worth the drive! An hour was all we got but it was perfect. I just can't wait until next Sunday.

Other than that, the kids and I have just been hanging out, watching movies and playing. They leave next weekend for most of the summer. I'm going to miss them but I will enjoy the break.

Hope you all had a good weekend too.

Happy Memorial Day to those that fought and died for our country! And, in honor of those that are fighting now, because we should do that everyday that they fight, no matter what the reason, they are doing their job.

Weekend Update (Mostly about Goofball!)

So I feel like blogging/writing something but since I don't ever write anything earth shattering, I figured nobody would mind if I just write about my weekend. Plus I have some Goofball stuff bouncing around in my head.

Friday was a work day for me (I get every other one off). But, I ended up only working until around 1:00. I had to pick L up for speech therapy. After speech, I got him in the tub, ironed our clothes and then got us both dressed for a wedding we had that evening. The big kids came home.... showers (quick!!!), dressed and we were off to my Aunt's house to pick up some of the food for the wedding. Bust butt to get down to Texas City (from Pearland.... easily an hour drive). Almost spilled all the soup in the process. Anyway, got to the wedding. It was great! My cousin looked to pretty!!!! I miss her! We used to be pretty close as kids. She looked so in love. Ah, to have that feeling someday.

Got home around 11:30.... I think??? Maybe it was earlier, maybe it was later either way.... (see next paragraph!)

Saturday game day. Sadly we missed L's game because we overslept. Oh well! Really lazy Saturday though. Didn't move much. H had a game at 6:30..... It was good. They didn't win but did really well anyway.

Sunday. Grocery store, some cleaning, did water balloons with the kids! L broke out in a big rash earlier in the day but was better-ish in the afternoon.

Then Sunday evening, I went to see Goofball. Now I wasn't planning to see him this week but he asked and I can't turn him down! Really I didn't have a reason that I wasn't going to see him, just that I didn't think we were going to get together. I was really happy he asked.

Here is the thing, I'm all about space in a relationship but honestly that's a lot of what we get. However, I think that is part of the reason our relationship works is because we don't get to see each other but a few times a month, so we appreciate the time more and enjoy it. But, this is also a downside..... because it means not knowing each other quite as well as two people that have been talking for 10+ months should....See online helps you get to know a lot of things about a person, such as, likes and dislikes, most embarrassing story or what you did after High School, but you don't get to really know someone. Mannerisms and tone of voice, hand gestures and smell, their walk or that sparkle in their eye..... At least that is my thoughts, don't know his.

Back to space in a relationship, I think this is important for both people. VERY IMPORTANT! Couple time is good, great. And, in a family situation, yeah family time is needed too. But, each person needs some downtime. Goofball really only has Sunday nights as his downtime and while I would looooove to take every single one of them. I won't pressure him for that. 1. because we are still just casually dating and 2. because that is his time. If he asks me, I will see him and if he doesn't I hope he has a great time!!!! Not as great as he would with me but I mean every night can't be perfect! (Ha, ha).

Also he was going to a friend's house last night to do some handy work for her. Cool. He is a great guy, did I mention that? So he was teasing (at least I think he was teasing) and said I wouldn't be the center of attention while he worked. Ha, ha. But, ya know, I don't expect to be when we are around his friends. That is his hanging out time with them and when I tag along, I am just happy to be near him. So I just smile and talk when necessary but otherwise, I am just happy that I am not miles away on a computer. (Emails and IM is fun, but in person or phone is sooooo much better!!!).

Then I hope he doesn't think I'm totally lame for getting too tired on him. I really did want to go to the Cheesecake Factory.... but (and here is the part I didn't tell him), I started having cramps so add that to the tired and I just didn't want to be around other people. So we sat in my car and talked for a little while..... I have to be honest that was the second best part of the night. Of course the first best was having great sex! Did I mention how good the sex is? No? I should mention that some time. Goooood. Can't wait for Friday... hope Friday happens. I never expect it until he is actually here. No expectations, bay-bee!

Anyway, I like talking to him. I still have like a million things I want to talk about but it can wait. No rushing, no pressure, no expectations. I just want to enjoy each moment for what it is and not think about anything else. Yeah I'm sounding all dreamy.... I think its because I'm freakin' tired! Got home late but it was totally worth it because I had a good weekend!!

Hope you all have a good week.
