Remodel hell

Okay not really hell but I didn't know what to call this post....

We have been remodeling the house since Mid-July.... and yes when I was truly in hell, I was having men in and out of my house. Joy and fun, joy and fun!

Well we are getting there but still a few weeks away from completion.

I am going CRAZY! I want my house back. I want my room back! I mean it is worth it, or hmm, it will be worth it. I will have a lot more privacy.

But OMG!

Next month I have to go to California for work, the ex is coming to stay in my house to watch the kids. (Yes he is the father but I feel like he is a babysitter.... Bad? Probably!) Anyway, I want my house done and back in order before that! How can I have my ex-husband who thought I was a bad wife and mother, and least we forget horrible at cleaning, in my house when it has been a wreck for several months.

It is gross. It is so gross. It is cluttered. It is a flat out mess!

I asked the contractor would it be done by November and he seems confident it will be. I wish I felt as confident....

Send good thoughts my way!

I'm sending good thoughts! We moved into our home as soon as it was closed in to avoid paying rent and a mortgage. Living in the construction was pure H-E-double L. I'd try to clean up behind those guys and it was never ending. My kids wore clothes to school all covered in sheet rock dust for the whole school year.
I pray they are finished soon so that your household can become normal again.

Good thoughts are headed your way! I can imagine how frustrating the mess is right now (esp. with work, travel and life going on) but I'm sure it will be worth it! Still, it'd be nice if Cinderella's fairy godmother would just show up, wave her wand and poof! Project complete...*sigh*

Um, yeah - remember my bathroom remodel that was supposed to take "two weeks"? Try two months. Over two months. It is beautiful, but gah - the mess and the frustration was terrible. And the caulk in part of it still isn't right after two attempts, the third try is on the way allegedly. Sigh.

The bad part is when you do it for a living anyway...and then have to live with it at home too...you start to question your sanity. Seriously.

Thanks, y'all!

Two weeks - No work.

My dad called today. Have I mentioned that this is my parents' house? I just rent from them. Anyway my dad said they must get this finished, I can't continue to live like this.
