Quote of the Day

Normally when I do the quote of the day, I will just give you the quote and not say anything but OMG! this one is just sooo perfect for me from the past year-ish. I say it all the time, "Why did I waste so much time being unhappy?" It wasn't until I made the decision to get a divorce, that I truly realized/felt what happiness was again.

Enjoy the quote. I really hope it helps someone out there!!!!

Sometimes pain becomes such a huge part of your life that you expect it to always be there cause you can't remember a time in your life when it wasn't. Then one day you feel something else, something that feels so unfamiliar. Then you realize you are happy!

That is a good quote. We have a good friend going through a nasty divorce and fighting over custody of his son. He had a similar epiphany - a few weeks after she kicked him out, he realized how incredibly happy he was (aside from not having 100% custody of his son) without her in his life.

hi! Found you through Schloobie...I'm a single mom now, too. Find myself in a place I never thought I'd see. Enjoyed your blog!

T,
It is a good feeling. Good for your friend.

Mama,
Welcome! I hope you will continue to come back! I never truly thought I would be divorced but honestly, after 13 years of what I realize now was hell, I'm happy.

Es,
Hell ya, girl! I have everything I ever wanted too. Well I still want a pony but in time. :)

yeah, I wanted a pony, too, but then I thought seriously about cleaning up big, pony poop and I was totally turned off.

It is the same way I feel about doges. GOD I want one, but I don't want to clean up poop

That is why we have kids! To clean up after us and our ponies, isn't it??
